- The outdoor unit blocked by leaves, debris, or overgrown vegetation

- An electrical issue at the disconnect or breaker
What You Can Safely Check
- Confirm the thermostat is set to Cool and to a temperature below the current room temperature
- Check the air filter and replace it if it is visibly dirty
- Look at the outdoor unit from a safe distance to confirm it is not blocked by leaves, grass clippings, or plants
- Make sure supply vents around the house are open and unblocked
